Mr. Fu Chengyu

Mr. Fu was born in 1951. He is also the President of CNOOC and the Chairman of CNOOC Limited. Mr. Fu is a senior economist with a master degree of petroleum engineering from University of Southern California in the United States. He has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in China. Mr. Fu joined CNOOC in 1982. From 1994 to 1995, he served as Deputy General Manager of China Offshore Oil Eastern South China Sea Corporation. From 1995 to 1999, Mr. Fu served as Vice President of Philips Petroleum International (Asia Pacific) and the General Manager of its Xijiang Operation. Mr. Fu was an Executive Director of CNOOC Limited from September 1999 to August 2002 and was the President of CNOOC Limited from December 2000 to August 2002.
